Please note I will not be hosting any Public events from 31st January 2023. Nothing too drastic from our side, just need a break.

I’ll be providing updates when we’re back, here and on my social media platforms.

Thank you for all the custom and friendship this has brought me to date.

I look forward to seeing you all again soon, both new and old customers.

Rules “Carry on up the Raj” by Steve Thompson.

The Wargames holiday centre will be the venue for two Indian uprising games to be played over the weekend. These are imagination games built around the campaign waged by the East India Company and the British Army.

Game 1

The East India Company has been informed of an Indian Hill fort deep in the wilderness that the Indian Mutineers are holding and rumour has it the fort is impregnable.

The mutineers are flocking to the fort and moral is high.

Bengals

At last the British are against something they cannot take?

To prove a point the East India Company has assembled a large column including engineers and explosives and are marching to blow the hill fort out of existence as they have before to keep the Indian morale at bay and the mutiny under control.

Your mission is to make sure the engineers and 10,000 pounds of explosives are deployed at the fort and reduce the fort to rubble.

Your Sepoy’s are not as reliable as you might think and the Indian Loyalist units feel they have a point to prove.

Command well or you may well die in the wilderness, numbers will be against you as will the terrain.

Game 2

The British have managed to push deep into the heart of the mutineers held country and have at last forced the Indians to stand and fight.

The British force including Highlanders and Naval brigade are well positioned to break the mutiny right here in open warfare on the battlefield but have vastly underestimated the numbers against them

With the Sepoy’s in the army getting jittery and the loyal Indians far from happy it will fall upon the British to show the way forward.

The Indian commanders will have reserves joining the fray all the time so it’s a race against time to get the job done before the force becomes overwhelmed

1st – 7th November 2019

Using ItGM rules Mega Weekend.

Here we have the culmination of the 100 days, what if Napoleon hadn’t have divided his army to such an extent and had Vandamme pursue the Prussians.  What if Grouchy was at Waterloo with most of his force.  Wellington also has the benefit of information that allows him to reduce his force at Halle.

Waterloo becomes a different game.  Prussians still arriving, but when?

The Battle of Waterloo

Our now famous game representing the Battle of Dresden takes place this weekend.

Napoleon arrives and attacks the gathering Allies to drive them from his stockpiles of supplies in the city, the capital of his ally, Saxony.

See the famous Gross-Garten, site of a fierce hand to hand action during the battle.

The weather is bleak with a deluge of rain effecting the battle periodically. So there is a lot of atmosphere!

We will be using the now tried and trusted in the Grand Manner rule-set. Play tested and developed constantly a truly living rule-set.

There are 12 places available at present.

The southern half of the Battle of the Nations.  Over 8,000 figures.

Can you crush the Allies before the reserves arrive, or will you release the might of the combined Allied Guard and smash the upstart once and for all!

sudan

Here is an opportunity to command the Imperial relief columns, can you master the desert and relieve the beleaguered garrison.

There will be a few battles throughout the weekend, marching through some of the loveliest Sudan terrain on the planet. All using the fabulous collection of Dave Docherty.

This has proved extremely popular in recent outings so contact me for details if you wish to command one of the relief columns!

This year sees yet another of our now very popular Donald Featherstone Tribute weekends.  This year it features the Sudan, who will steer the relief columns to relieve the Imperial Garrison or rescue the Damsels in distress!

Dinner on the Saturday, Jacket and tie, three course meal and after dinner speakers.

Why not eh?
